Worsthorne Parish Council
Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood Parish Council serves over 1,000 households in the village of Worsthorne, the hamlet of Hurstwood and the Pike Hill district of Burnley. The Parish Council manages allotments and the Methodist Graveyard,
addresses planning matters, liaises with the Police, Burnley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and others to resolve residents' concerns and seek improvements to village amenities.
There are 7 volunteer Councillors on the Parish Council and a part time Parish Clerk. Parish Council meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at the Reading Rooms, Worsthorne and each meeting has a dedicated slot for public questions. The Police, the County Councillor and Borough Councillors regularly attend the meetings.
